Trip to Tathra’s Aid

On March 18th a bush fire tore through the small town of Tathra, NSW. Blocking one of the 2 roads out of town, the fire destroyed a total of 65 houses, 35 caravans and cabins, and a further 48 houses were damaged. On Sunday 1st of April, the Global Care Disaster Relief trailer left Brisbane heading down to meet the Global Care team at Nowra. Fresh off their chainsaw course, the men were ready to help clear fallen trees and shrubbery. As well as providing physical help to the town, the team are providing psychological 1st aid by allowing the townspeople to talk and debrief about the intense past few weeks.
