Rice Relief

Following heavy rains over the Pacific this December/January, Global Care provided immediate relief for 6 villages in the Solomons.

Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation (SIBC), quoting National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) reported on 06 January that an estimated 23,708 people have been affected (4,480 households).

Global Care were able to purchase $3000 worth – 2 tonne – of rice as the 1 metre flood had ravaged crops in the Islands. Check out those happy faces! Priceless..
